Well, I got to hit the water with Doug on Sunday which was a refreshing change from the JERK I had on Saturday.....every guides nightmare. The guy that actually hired me was great and even gave me an extra $50 for putting up with his partner. I won't say anymore on that! But I managed to cross the main lake in 3 footers to get Doug and man does he have it made! Nice A-frame, about 1200 squares maybe a little more. Right on the water in one of the best spring bays on the lake! So off we went, and I took him to my FAMOUS tires! And yes, the fish are there! So Jim Moore or Eric Barker, when you come up next week, hit those with a jig! We didn't get any whopers, I caught those on Saturday, but we did catch plenty of 2-3 lbers. We had a good time. For a while there, Doog was kicking my butt with his senko, I had to back boat him to shut him down! kidding. He got to see first hand via the camera what's under there! Awesome! I wanted to bring him for some slammin smallies but the water was just too rough. Possibly this weekend! And I got the pics developed from my trip with Bob G, and the pics don't lie about who's fish was bigger. But his arm is longer so......, plus my mom's 4+lber. I will try to get them scanned so I can post them for the group to see. So hurry if you intend to come up and visit. I have about 2-3 weeks left until birds season hits full swing and I retire the boat and rods for the season. The invite is open for anyone who wants to get a rod bent!
