So, I have a new employee starting and I usually like to have a little sit down with them and let them know my expectations and get to know them a little bit. I call him in my office and he stands until I tell him to sit down (hmmmmm....gets me thinking), addresses me "yes sir" and "no sir" (gets me thinking more). So I ask him..."What branch of the service were you in?".......he answers..."Marines, sir". So I ask him...Retired?...he answers..."No, 10 years in sir". So I ask him..."What did you do for the Corps?"...he answers...."I was a helicopter pilot sir." So I ask him..."Did you do any time in the sandbox?".....he answers "3 tours sir." At this point I look him in the eyes and say "First, let me thank you for your service to our country, second, I am going to give you the opportunity to start a new career either with the FDIC or any number of other companies." He wondered how it was that he got hired with no experience or work history. (Truth be known, I picked him based on his application). I told him that he had some of the most intense training and work history I have seen and that it is my job to find "potential" as well as experience. I told him I was honored to have him on my team. He thanked me and went back to his desk.

At least now, I have some protection if I ever jump on CIII's deck lids again!! I can call in an air-strike!!

Once a Marine...

Oh, and he WILL side with CIII against your a$$ everytime... It's what Semper Fi is all about...

Now if he likes to fish...

Great story Tox. Ya gotta appreciate the men and women in the service!

Tox,...you're even a better man than I already KNOW!!! That's an awesome way to reward a young man for his service...you deserve a man-hug for that!! Cheers mate!!

Now,..as far as calling in an airstrike on CIII,......I do believe you already pack WMD's in your colon based on what you did to that back bathroom one morning on the island!! That was totally unuseable for 20-30 minutes!! No need to call for reinforcements when you're already a 1 man wrecking crew!!

Why don't you hire C111 and make It a team...

TOXIC,

A heartfelt thanks for employing one of our U.S. Servicemembers:D. I'm a dogface soldier, but even with all the banter, I have much love for all of our servicemembers:rolleyes:, thanks again.

JP "Go Army"

You know how I feel my friend! Thanks Scott for doing something very special and I commend you for it. It just proves what I told Nancy after I met you for the first time. When I went home, I told her I had just met one of the fisherman that I knew from N.T.O.W.S. and I thought he was a really great guy and I wanted to fish with him sometime. Well, he came to meet me and we took my tin boat to the Eastern Shore of MD on a day that was at least a million degrees (and I never exaggerate)and by keeping him in the sun he now has permanently purple thighs:eek::lol::lol: But it was a great day and Scott's a great guy and I count him as one of my good friends. What he did with a new company employee just shows what I've said is so! AIRBORNE!

Uncle Billy

Get inline Tox! If that car gfoes for $10k I am certain MacDaddy will be owning it.

$10K for a 2006 'Vette w/17,000 miles on it?? Yeah....and Tox better do something about that crack habit!!:p I just got an email from him...he's giving a speech at the NYSE at the moment........but his wife just put the kybosh on the vette sale!! She says it gets better mileage than her Tahoe so she's keeping it!!

Sorry tox,..I tried!!

Great story Hammer. I'm proud of you and proud to know you. You're a good man to keep our servicemen foremost in mind. (And keep the air freshener industry healthy!!;) )

Way to go Tox!! :D

Hammer, thanks from the bottom of my heart. I promise to not shoot you in the knees now for jumping on my lids! Guess that did set me off huh?

Please ask the devil dog where he was stationed and what he flew, please. If you would, also pass on a hearty Semper Fi!

Tanks Hammer!

Great, I wearing a Titanium EYE patch and you were aiming for my knees.... I'll get the details of his service.

I am a witness to the hurting Toxic can put on a bathroom and if the smell doesn't make you sick, the shrapnel he leaves behind on the seat will !!!

STOP TC!!:lol::lol: I told you that wasn't me and I'm sticking to my story!! But I DID clean it up...gag.... I'm just glad you left my voo-doo mosquito alone!!

CIII, my employee was West Coast and Taiwan. Flew a UH1 November. BTW, said a Crew Chief job was better than being a pilot!!
