We lost two more here in Pa when a boat with 8 people aboard went over a low head dam on the river. The current sucked the boat back into the dam, where it capsized from the water pouring into it. One of the rescued later died, and one person still missing.



The average in Pa is around 11 boating fatalities a year. So far we are up to 16, and it's only July.



Be careful, and always use your head.

My sister knew the guy that drowned. She said that guy got messed up in a car wreck and subsequently got addicted to pain killers and she speculates that prolly had something to do with what happened.

(KDKA) SHARPSBURG Recovery crews continue to search for the body of a missing boater four days after the boat she was on went over the Highland Park Dam.



Now, the boyfriend of the missing boater says that he wanted to get off the boat right after it left the dock, according to the Tribune-Review.
