Anyone who has ever traveled through Oklahoma know that our rivers aren't exactly the raging torrents of water that you may think of when you think of the Mississippi or the Ohio. Our rivers are more sand than water except during heavy rain and with the exception of the North Canadian River as it passes through the downtown Oklahoma City area where a series of low water dams have filled the excavated river bed to a depth of maybe 3 or 4 feet and for that 3 or 4 miles, it is known as the "Oklahoma River. This weekend we will be hosting the Southern Drag Boat Assc for the Bricktown Drag Boat Nationals
Should be a good show....funny thing is the Oklahoma River is a no wake zone.
