Well, thanks to the advice you all were kind enough to give me, I caught my limit of bows in just under 3 hours. (man they taste good on the grill) THANKS GUYS!



 
I hate to say it, but Berkley Power Bait is great stuff. Messy as hell, and they could improve on it's floatation qualities a bit. But it works. What else can you ask for......



main line, through a 1/8 egg sinker, small swivel, 6lb florocarbon leader 18" or so, to a size 14 treble. Works like a charm, (or at least until the bait soaks up water and sinks to the mud)
 
Scott, I have friends who swear by that stuff for trout and do well with it. I'm a little on the traditional side with bait and use spinners or good old worms for trout. Our 'opener' is in two weeks, just hope the weather is a lot better than what we've been having.
