Cable lenth

I have the panfish and have never had an easy steering. I went to BassPro last week and the floor model was really loose. It felt good to me. Have any of you had to replace the cable on your panfish and if so how hard was it. I have lubricated everything I can think of and am still having major tight steering. Is there a place to order one with a part number or do I have to take the old one out and get it made.

Look under your steering wheel and see if there is a tension adjustment.

Or disconnect from the motor to check to see if the spring has streched.
