I need to put new boards on my trailer. What is the best way to do since I need to lift the boat up to change the boards. My boat stays in the gargage when not in use. I'm going to change all of them while I'm at it...

Thank,

Coach - easiest way is to take it to the ramp and put the boat in the water. Have everything measured and ready to go, shouldn't take that long if you're prepared.

Look right above your name in this post and click on search. Enter your post title in the "search" bar and in the "when" bar click "all posts". Fix a pot of coffee and enjoy!

Good luck on the project!! ;)

Don't wrap the carpet around the bottom...the water will run off better and not rot the boards as fast;)

I've heard that tin boats and the new treated woods don't go together. I'd do some homewwork on this.

I just used regular 2x4's and treated them with water sealant.
