I have a Nitro 160TF with a 90 Merc on it. I have used a transom saver on it for years. Lately alot of folks say I should not use it, and say I should use a different type. What is the right thing for my boat? Thanks in advance!!!

The transom saver that comes with the boats from the Factory are fine. I have never come across any issues from continued use. There a couple of "ways" to support the motor / hydraulics. I prefer the method used to tie it {the motor} onto the trailer. It is not only used to keep the motor still and save the hydraulics, it also doubles as the....."transom saver". Did you ever watch your motor without one going down the road...it moves all over the place.....!!! Not good for the "wear factor". ;)
