Appreciate all the info from before but have another question. I hear you can really get a lot better deal at the boat shows. Is that true?

i hear a lot of people make a new boat purchase at the shows. you are probably more likely to get a good price + some extra goodies. sometimes they put together pkg's that have lures, rods, tackleboxes, free oil, etc... to entice you to buy at the show. the shows are a really big deal to the dealers as they put up some substantial monies to have the floor space so they are pretty motivated to make a deal. Depending on the space, they need to sell x number of boats to come out on the deal. I'm sure a lot of other factors are involved also such as inventory. If you havn't been to a show, i would suggest going as there is a lot to see and learn. If you do decide to buy at a show, get EVERYTHING in writing before you sign the dotted line.

I agree with James in they will throw in the bells and whistles and covers,etc... I don't think though that you'll save a ton of money. I think the prices will be compatible with that particular brand and manufacturer.

The reasons given above are certainly factual. However, another BIG item is that this is the ONLY time whereby the customer can walk across the street (aisle in this case), and make another deal.

If you were a Triton dealer and someone saw a buyer down the isle seriously looking at a Ranger, you'd throw in all kinds of stuff to get that sale. Also vice/versa.

If you are going to go to a boat show with the thought of buying, keep the 'competitive' nature of the floor in mind.

Also...

When you go to a boat show, you have the opportunity to look at all of the different brands. If you haven't made up your mind yet, you can compare different features between brands.

you should get a better deal at a boat show however not on a tracker or a nitro because they have nationwide pricing set by tracker. They will throw in life vest and stuff liek that though.

usafbass is right, I bought mine at the boat show here in Atlanta 3 years ago Sunday!!! WOW Need to have a Birthday party for her and go to BPS for PRESENTS!!!

I was at the BPS/Tracker Store 3 weeks later to pick her up and the same deals were on (Free Rod/Reel and Free Boat Cover). BUT the dealer/salesweasel (sorry Marke) may be able to deal (as they do in the showroom) on warranties and extras!

Hey James!

When are we going to the OKC boat show? I'm ready to pick out MY new Gambler----just don't forget YOUR checkbook.;-)))
