Another beginner question. In regards to the boats drain plug, does it make any difference if it's wet or dry when you install it? I heard somewhere that it's a better seal if you wet the plug first. Any truth to that? Thanks, Sean

Real issue is that you remember to put it in, period. At some point in your boating life, you will forget. Anyone who says they never forgot is a liar! LOL

My question is how do i get another one as a backup? Im 400 miles away from a nitro dealer? Are all nitro boats the same? Its a 3/4" threaded drain plug?

thanks

Scott

I installed a plug from www.bassboatsolutions.com and love it. You open & close from a lever near the dash of the boat.

I was thinking the same thing, Sean. I'm tired of nearly busting my head open to put the plug in.

Was the install easy, baitbar?

Very easy. Drill a hole near console and rote cable to back. Just no sharp turns.

WoW! I got to have one. After 8 years on a pontoon I have forgotten a couple of times.
