Boat Drain Plug

Another beginner question. In regards to the boats drain plug, does it make any difference if it's wet or dry when you install it? I heard somewhere that it's a better seal if you wet the plug first. Any truth to that? Thanks, Sean

My question is how do i get another one as a backup? Im 400 miles away from a nitro dealer? Are all nitro boats the same? Its a 3/4" threaded drain plug?

scail - On your 640LX you may wish to get a tube of marine RTV and an extra drain assembly. See link below to order direct or order from your dealer and have it mailed to you. Good luck!

I installed a plug from www.bassboatsolutions.com and love it. You open & close from a lever near the dash of the boat.

Very easy. Drill a hole near console and rote cable to back. Just no sharp turns.
