Just wondering where a good place was to get a boat cover. I have a yr 2000 Tracker Targa 2000 boat. I bought the boat used and it did not come with a cover. Any thoughts??? Thanks.

It really depends on what you want to spend.

If you want the best cover yo ucan get any money is no object call Aurora Canvas. They make a truly superb product but it can be costly. My last one from them was in the $700 range, it was nice and never leaked a drop. Since i store outside it was worth every penny.

Otherwise i would look at the cabelas covers. I have never owned one but the reviews i have read they are a decent cover for the money.

I had a Targa (similar year as yours) that I purchased a BPS canvas cover for. It worked fairly well, but one of the seams gave way and it came apart. BPS was good for it, and sent me a replacement. It worked 'well enough' - but not great.

My other boat (recently sold) I purchased a cover on-line. There is a post in the history (I'll see if I can look it up) that has the info on who/what I bought for my Stratos. Much better cover and I was really happy with it.

Stay tuned. I'll see if I can find it and update this thread.

From my earlier post.

Product: Styled-to-Fit Boat Cover (In Stock) Part #77217

Manufacturer: STRATOS

Model: 278 DC

Years: 95

Material: 8 oz. Performance Poly-Guard

Color: Navy

Quantity: 1

Price: $269.01

I got the top value item (Performance Poly-Guard)and it fits the boat like a very snug 'glove'. Generally you have to fight to get it on or it's so loose it just won't fit. This one is dark blue; fit's just like it is made for the boat (which it was supposed to); has some extra support stitching where the dual consoles are at and covers the motor also. I'll hook up the tie down straps later in the week. I would highly recommend their product and the service (bought and received it with standard ground in less than 10 days). Completely covers the MinnKota on the bow also. I didn't even need to elevate the rear seat to ensure 'run-off'. Pic's later this week - sun going down.

Again, I was very happy with this cover.
