I'd like to get a new boat probably this fall that I could take my 9 year old out in instead of my current 16 ft bassboat. Mostly on St. Clair on weekends. I'd like something in a deep v with high sides. I'd love a Ranger 621 but $40K is out of the question. I saw a Targa 18 at the Auburn Hills store and for the money looks like a lot of boat.I could load it up and still get it out the door for less than $23k. The other option is the Tundra 18 but would have to probably buy the standard package. I'm biased towards the Trackers as I live 3 miles from the store and the boat shop has a very good reputation which counts as much or more than the brand in my opinion.Anyone have any suggestions or have experience with these boats? Thanks.

If you plan on keeping it awhile, go with the Tundra.

Call me personally tomorrow morning, I may have a non-current I can save you some money on. 248-209-4179

Thanks for the offer but I can't pull the trigger probably until fall. Building a new house and I've got a boat already.Must finish house, sell old house, sell old boat, buy new boat.If I buy new boat first I'll be living somewhere else before the new house is finished. Thanks again.

That's OK, come in say hi any time you like. We'll grab a couple rods off the rack, sit in the boat and if we cast far enough we'll hit the tank.

Carl,

I can't tell you much authoritatively on price.... But, I can comment on the Targa 17... My friend has one, also a 2000, with a 135hp Merc. The boat performs very well. He fishes BASS tournaments and for walleye and general pleasure use. While his is a Walk through... The Targa will perform well for you... Lance (my friend) has certainly never ever expressed any disappointment in the boat.
