I went to replace the bilge pump

on my 99 NX882 and noticed they located

it under the gas tank. How in the heck

do get to that thing to replace it!

Get Trepper to help. Skinny and LOVES to work on boats.

Alternately, you will need to drain and remove the tank, do the work, then re-assemble. On my Stratos, I have a 'little bit of room' and can just about get to some of the stuff, but thought more than once I'd have to do the same thing to get to some 'livewell hoses' that I thought needed replacing.

You should be able to remove your oil tank and battery tray platform to access the bilge and pumps. It may take a bit of reach and contortion, but the tank shouldn'tneed to be pulled. Good luck! ;)

Check what Dan had to say. I have a 96 896 and that's where mine is located.
