I responded to a post a few days ago about waiting for my boat/motor/bimini covers to arrive. Today someone? Dropped off a package at my door. The box was badly damaged and appeared to have an entire roll of packing tape on it. I brought it inside. Took pictures of it and contacted Sealskin. I talked to 2 on line representatives and the second told me to open the box to see if the other covers were inside.
The box stated Bimini Top and the box not only didn’t contain the other covers, the canopy, storage bag and a lot of the hardware was missing. Some of the top poles were already assembled. Some wrapped in plastic other half not. The second representative told to to email customer service which I have.
Upon further investigation, another persons mailing label was also attached to the box still and the box label stated green and I ordered gray.
My conclusion is this Bimini top was a return and they slapped my mailing label on it and sent it, hence all the packing tape, other address label, missing parts and other missing covers.
This is 100% unacceptable in my book and we’ll see how this pans out in the next couple of days.
BREAK- the 2 boat covers (which is wrong, I only ordered 1 but charged for 2) and the motor cover just showed up.
Now they owe me a Bimini top, a return label for the cover I didn’t order, and a refund.
Hopefully, this will get worked out and we can live happily ever after. I’ll keep you posted.
