1989 TX-17 - One of my bearing caps fell off this weekend. I'm not sure how far I drove without it, but to say the least, there is minimal grease left. I bought some bearing caps by "Red Eye" but haven't had the opportunity to see if they fit yet.

Here's my question, if for some reason they don't fit I'm afraid I won't have time to find the correct bearing caps before Thursday, is there an emergency fix (someway to seal grease in the bearing) that would get me about 100 miles of use until I can get a permanant fix in place?

You should be able to pick up some Bearing Buddies at any auto parts store......

You talkin' about the EZ Lube system or Bearing Buddys?..big diff

I have the one where you can use a grease gun and put grease in them once they are installed.

Does it have a sealed cap and zerk on the outside or do you have to remove a rubber cap to expose the zerk and grease?

Bearing Buddy is sealed/pressurized system and the EZ lube system pumps new grease thru the back bearing to the front bearing.
