battery removal or not....

First things first......great site everyone, kudos.

I tried to remove the batteries from my '02 700LX but can not get them past the fuel tank. I guess they drop the deck on these things after they install everything in them. Question, do you think this would be covered by warrenty? Dealer is over an hour tow into the city and it's a pain. Any thoughts on how to get the batteries out? How hard is it to move the fuel tank?

Yes most are a tight fit. Just pulled my battey on my 185 and had to tilt it at an angle to remove it...make sure the caps are tight.

It is a tight fit, but they DEFINITELY come out... it's all about the angle of extraction, my friend.
