Battery or fuseblock

Weather is finally breaking, so Im going to hookup my new Humminbird. Would it be best to wire it straight to the battery or into the fuseblock? It will be on the bow and I am going to add a 3 amp inline fuse.

As long as you include the inline fuse, it don't matter where you connect. Most just run it the easiest way.
