awww help..with power trim...

just walked out an power trim doesnt work at any station...i hear a 'click' from throttle but nothing from motor or bow.....silinoid (?).....and how difficult to replace>>?? for a left handed POlish person...:unsure:

Might be.. Hows the battery? All the connections look good? The reason I ask is that I always go to the easiest and cheapest possible problems first. Its the laziness in me.. Also, a couple of years ago I had my boat at my sisters for a couple of months and the kids got in there and accidently turned on my power switch. Tried to use the trim to put the motor up with no joy. At first I thought solenoid problem but the battery was just too low.

I had the same problem, then the motor would not crank. I always assume the most expensive, so I stopped by and explained the symptoms to a mechanic. He cleaned my battery terminals and posts, no more problem. I left a little sheepish, but it taught me to start with the simple stuff first.

just charged up the battery....reading was full......that was before I discovered the "problem"....thanks i go the same route..simple first
