I will have it on display at the Detroit Boat Show at Cobo Hall in Detroit. Show dates are Feb. 9th thru 17th.

I will also have a Patriot Nitro...awesome looking boat!!!

Damn, they would come out with a red-hot looking boat! I can hear the wife now, no way!

Here a link to a pic of it:

Was thinking about trading my 901 CDX for the Patriot, but the web site doesn't show a very good picture of it and didn't want to take a chance without seeing it first..

Ken,

I was wondering if the transport with the Patriot could see a way to drive that new Patriot over to my garage for a couple of years...then everybody here could come over to see it at their leisure...wouldn't have to worry about boat show tickets or hours...nothin like that...you know a real relaxed kind of atmosphere...I'd leave a real big pile of your business cards right there on top of the console...and a couple of cold Coronas in the cooler if that is important...I always try to be reasonable and accommodate everybody's needs...Whaddaya say....a yes would seal the deal on my vote!

It's official, pick my Avalanche up in March. Sign my paperwork tomorrow. Still got to decide on, white, red or pewter. Dealer just received his pewter Avalanche, so will get a chance to take a look at the boat tomorrow.

Greg,

Get in line...right behind me!!!!

I'll see if I can get a couple good pic's and post them here.

Bassin Fool - I saw the Red one at the boat show, that'd be my choice, no way you'd not see that comming down the water!

Hey Trepman your right about the red, so I ordered the Pewter. Climbed through the one the dealer got for the boat show. The color really doesn't make any difference to me. I thought the pewter wouldn't show dirt and scratches as bad as the red or white Avalanche. Got a better chance to really crawl through this one. I like the layout for the batteries, aerators and bilge pump. All very easily accessable and easy to replace. The only thing I saw that I didn't like was the two back storage compartments. If you pull that plastic insert out you have all kinds of space in there. The problem being some wiring in other items that could get damaged by things rolling around in there. With a little thinking and ingenuity, I'm sure someone will come up with a better or a way to isolate the wiring and pumps so they don't get damaged. Over all I really like the boat and can't wait to get one on the water.

Greg, my boy...you must think you're dealing with an amatuer...Mac and I have been cultivating our very own citrus grove for years. We're working on the barley and hop plantation next!!!!

See Greg, you have to hit below the belt. Neeley knows that his chief of staff gets that boat or I release the pics of him in both his ballerina outfit, and the alter boy get up! LOL Don't make me take the next step Ken. You don't want to end up where Trep is headed to ya?

Ohhhhh....then if I threaten to relase the pictures of him dressed in his Ballerina outfit...holding a Corona & Lime in one hand and an Altar Boy in the other hand I might the get the boat....Well...Photo Phans look over here...the one on the left with the stubble is Neely...

We have a Pewter Tundra at our shows now and I have to admit,..that is one fine color!!! That would be my choice for an Avalanche. And Greg, my man,....trying to threaten us with the dissappearance of all limes,....world wide,...geeez,...that's kinda like telling Denny Brauer you're going to buy EVERY jig on the planet so he won't have anymore!! LOL!!...Ken's right,...we have our own grove and it's protected by Scott and Trep,..wearing tutu's and packin AK-47's....NOBODY goes near that place,....not even us!! We have our weekly alotment shipped in!! LOL

Mac

Mac,

I'm sorry...I won't ever misbehave like that again...

On a serious note...or as serious of a note as I can ever muster...I too am intrigued with these formed Aluminum hulls...When I am next in the boat market I am going to be drooling over the Tundra (born and die a multi=specie boat guy...It's too easy to catch bass...Now Walleyes...that's a skill fish...not a luck fish...) I wonder what will be learned in the next 3-5 years as these hulls mature and evolve...Oh Man imagine the possibilities...dry ride...big water capabilities...and all the built in plusses in a metal boat....

I'm withya on that buddy!!! Can't wait to see and drive an Avalanche myself....from what I've seen, read, and been told by the factory reps,....it has all the ride and performance of 'glass,...with the durability and ease of repair as aluminum....I'll be posting more as i learn it!!

The Tundra we have at our shows now is beautiful!!! It's pewter and it looks great,...people still can't believe it's metal!!

Hey fella's,

Even Pro Football players take ballet lessons!!!

I have the answer to that---the boat is 18' long with a 96" beam....no other Tracker boat shares those dimensions so the had to take the current 18' trailer which is designed for a 86-92' beam and modify it to fit the Avalanche.

The boat actually sits on higher than the fenders.

What about the Patriot, How do people like the color scheme on that boat?

The Patriot's color scheme is awesome!! Very appropriate and not the least bit gaudy!! A LOT of people liked it when they saw it at the Silverdome show,...it's mostly all white, with the next major color being blue, and then accented with red. We have an 882 Patriot at our store and the 9 series Patriots have a sweeeet 24K pinstripe seperating the red and blue. That boat will always be "in style" in my opinion, and right now it's going to be VERY popular for a long time to come. You need to see one to fully appreciate it...it's cool!!

Mac

Hey Mac, Your right about the Avalanche, the red is pretty and the white is nice but the pewter is just like a fine German Beer Steine. I was planning on fishing the BFL tournament on the Potomac the 8th of June, now I'm trying to decide if I should attend the Rally on Champlain instead. Give you all a chance to see and operate the Avalanche.

I prefer the Mini-14 to the AK-47........ Hm-m-m...... Camo-clored tutu's....... Whadaya think, Trep? Matching outfits for the match with Big John?

:^)

me!

Saw the pewter Avalance at BPS in Springfield on Friday. Just an awesome boat. The group I was with could hardly believe that it was aluminum.

I almost (I'll say it again, ALMOST) wished I'd waited a year so that I could get one instead of the TV-18, but when I put my boat into a slip at the resort on Taneycomo this weekend, I had about two inches of space on either side of the boat. The Avalance wouldn't have fit those slips, so I would've had to launch and recover each day, in below-freezing temps. As it was, I could keep the lower unit submerged in water that was always in the 50's.

Still, it is a gorgeous boat and WILL force other boat companies to chase this technology.

Mark

All the other competing aluminum boat company's have spent countless hours refining their sales "propoganda" to downplay the Avalanche and Tundra's technology and structural benefits. I heard a lot of talk at the shows so far, from friends who heard competing company's reps beat on the Tundra...saying stuff like,.."It's unproven technology (hey,..they've been using it for years on aircraft and hi performance race cars!!) and how it won't hold up like their Riveted and welded hulls,...yada, yada"....all the same ol sales BS. It'll be GREAT to remind them in a couple of years from now when a lot more boats are built this way, and they're preaching the benefits and features.,.."Hey,..just a couple of years ago YOU said this wouldn't work and it wasn't as good as your OLD stuff,....WHY are you singing our song now??"..LOL....

I saw the Tundra at a show in Cedar Rapids and was drooling so much the salesman made me get out of the boat. Not really, but it was fun to crawl around in it. My wife wasn't there so I hope there is one in St Louis when we are there in a couple of weeks. One SHARP boat.

I'm hoping the same thing, Steve! I live here and want to get a look at one up close and personal!

Hey Ken, Found the below on another board discussing the Avalanche. Is that true about Tracker having only two built at this time?

"I saw one at the Cincinnati Boat show a few weeks ago. Apparently they only have 2 built at this time and they are taking them to the boat shows and taking orders to build them, or at least that is what they told me. The boat is very sharp! I think that is going to take the industry by storm and be a new trend setter. When you look at it and feel it, you would swear that it was fiberglass. The ony way you can tell that it is aluminum is on the bottom of the boat where the bottom meets the transom, you could see the weld. Other than that, it looks and feels like fiberglass. It is a nice boat with all of the amenities that a fiberglass boat offers, yet the weight of an aluminum boat, so you can tow it with a lighter vehicle. I hope you get to see one."

They had 2 built as of late last year but production should be going strong by now.

If there are only two built, then they're at the BPS store in Springfield, MO and not at any of the boat shows. If there are only two, then the models that are making the boat show circuit must be hollograms!!

Seriously, I saw both a Tundra and a pewter Avalanche at BPS on Friday, Feb. 1. They were inside the store, not on a truck. I agree with Ken. Full production is ramping up.

Ken, if I'm wrong and you still have that white Tundra on display in your showroom, then I must inform you that Springfield wants it back!

The white Tundra is sold....we sold 5 Tundra's at our first boat show this year.
