Has anybody serviced there Cool Oil Hubs by themselves? any tips or advice they can share. Was thinking of tackling this job myself, Dealer wants $337 to change the oil and seals

Hey Chris

Arite and my other buddy that have Rangers do it themselves on a regualr basis . From what I understand it's fairly simple. Jack up the wheel and remove the filler plug and let the oli drain .The it's a matter of gettng the new oil in . I do know that my Buddy Pete had a issue with water getting into the hubs and he solved the problem by using some sort of either gasket cemmet on the threads of the filler nut or a form of locktight . I know that he found the solution on the BBC website . If I get a chance I'll send my buddy Pete a e mail and get an answer for you it may be a couple of days . Give me a call if you want I should be home over the weekend. I assume the dealer is North Jersey Marine

Try this. www.ufpnet.com I didn't change my seals but the changing of the oil was pretty easy. Just make sure there is no air left when you get done. Clark
