Hey guys, if any of you remember when I was having problems with my dealer awhile back in Harrisburg, i switched to Bowers in Reading PA cuz they were real nice to me and took care of my prop issue.....well now I went down there the other day to pick up my seat(warrenty issue) and the guy I always talk to on the phone, now blew me off when I went down there, I just needed a seat, and he acted like I wasn't even there, then 2 other sales guys were standin right next to me and didn't even say anything, and I waited about 25 minutes for another guy to actually to help me, then the guy I was supposed to see kept geting calls on the phone, and he started swearin', and just acted like an ass. After awhile, I thought to myself, screw these people, I am now done with 2 dealers, looking for another to work with......I can honestly say, with my Champ I never had service problems with any of the dealers I worked with in different states........This just really urks me that the people that are supposed to be helping just seem to not care after awhile.....sorry, just had to vent, I think this may be my last Nitro, just cuz of the service, not the boat.......

In situations like these I always talk loud enough for new customers to hear. Then I make sure that I tell the salesmen that in spite of their poor service I will in fact be returning--to talk to other potential customers on the floor. :D:D

ps: Sportsman's Outfitter in Lee's Summit, MO has always been very good to me.

Mike i can nuderstand your frustration. Its just the way the marine industry seems to be in general.

My Nitro dealer has been great to me. They are good people and really do a great job with customer service. My last boat was a Champion and the dealer i bought it from was the pits. any service i needed i either had to do myself and fight with Champion for the parts or bring it a 8 hour round trip drive to get it fixed.

I hear horror stories from friends all the time about the marine places in my area and how much they suck. I;m glad my nitro dealer cares about its customers, its why i plan to by my next boat there too.

Only one chance for the second dealer? Did they help you, after the 25 minute wait.

BCMD No many chances since the prop issues, they talk nice on the phone, until you go therem then they act like they can't help ya right away and make you wait while other guys stand around and shoot the breeze, after I complained some guy helped finally helped me, and was in such a rush, while I'm asking him about somethin else he left, I couldn't find him, asked for him, they said he left......you have to understand, when I have an appointment to meet with soemone on boat issues, and they pass it off to another guy, who leaves, and I leave without answers, thats enough for me, I've never had this problem with other dealers, so its new to me to be treated like I don't belong there.............it just seems like they don't care anymore about my issues.....

It is probably farther than you want to travel, but the guys at Rt 8 Marine in Etna, PA (just outside Pittsburgh) are top notch. Ed and John do everything within their power to help their customers.

The best way I can express it is my next brand of boat will be whichever brand these guys are selling.
