I have seen a couple of posts the last couple of days on the 882's performance.

What is the proper setup for my boat? What is the pad (I have asked that before but have forgotten). Right now my speedo is saying 55-57 at 5600rpm. I haven't had a chance to check that with a gps yet. I havent had the boat out much since mini boat tournametns started. I will take the gps with me this weekend and check it.

Is there any other info I need to know. I am relativly new to the "big boat" world. I have learned a ton though off of this board and just getting out and trying new things with my boat.

Thanks

Also, everything on the boat is factory stuff.

standard jack plate

etc.

Jack plate? Get it as high as possible while maintaining water pressure. Other than that, there's not a lot you can do without trying new props. You should be able to get 60 out of that rig. But caution, all the 882's I've ridden in have gotten pretty squirrely over 60 mph and chine walk pretty bad. The plate should help.

Just make sure to get a hot foot and trim on the wheel.
