LOOKING AT A NITRO SC WITH 90 HP - 4 STROKE MERC. ANY ISSUES WITH THIS SET UP? ENOUGH POWER? NOT LOOKING FOR SUPER SPEED , JUST ENOUGH TO DO THE JOB OF PLANEING AND NOT BEING SORRY I GOT IT. ANY INFO IS ALWAYS APPRECIATED. 50 LB. TROLL MOTOR.

The motor will be ok with a 17ft boat, but you probably won't be real impressed with the trolling motor. Mine had a 45lb on a 170TF and I couldn't fish main lake points if there was any kind of wind

I have a Z6 (482). I had a 90 2 stoke and it toppped out around 43 mph gps. Planning was not bad with 2 people but add full livewells and gas tank and it took awhile. The boat will lean while getting on pad until you learn to use the trim the way the boat likes. Once I learned to trim I was happy with the boat. I traded my motor for a 125 2 stroke and now go around 53 mph gps. I fish a few tourneys but mainly for pleasure. The boat is light enough not to suck the gas out of your truck and pulls well. Pleanty of storage and fits easy in the garage. Any questions just ask. Good Luck

Had a 08 750 with 90 optimax, ran 13x19 prop from dealer. changed to 13x21 got on plane quicker, put hydrofoil on got up even quicker..
