Hello - I'm looking for some help determining what diameter the fuel line should be from the tank to the motor. Currently, there is a hose clamped to the gas tank that runs to a primer ball and then the primer ball to the motor. I'm 90% sure the fuel line on both sides of the primer bulk is the same size.

I would also like opinions on the need for a primer ball. My motor has had the primer ball for the 20 years I've owned it. Mercury suggested that I don't need a primer ball because it's an EFI. Do you agree?

Thank you in advance for any help. I appreciate the knowledge.

Thats correct..EFI does not need a primer ball, Your motor has fuel injectors like a newer car instead of the old carburetor system older ones had, no need to prime float bowl anymore because there is not one to prime :).. My suggestion is go here Mercury Parts Finder...enter the serial number of your engine, and get the proper part/parts.
