I may be heading up to Winnisquam this weekend. In that general area of NH, how's the smallmouth bite right now? Water temp?

Thanks

Paul

Check with JimB - he fishes up that way. Bill, the Mad Kayaker

I havent been up there yet. From what i can see on winnipesaukee.com the water temp is around 48 and was 50 last weekend. The smallies should be pulling up now, at least in the afternoon on a sunny day.

Id bert you can whack them pretty good right now with a stickbait or an inline spinner as long as the sun is out.

Thanks Jim. I'll report back if thats where I end up this weekend.

I went up to southern maine last weekend for a tournament and did ok.. it was cold and rainy and smallies were all in abotu 10ft of depth that i caught. water temp = 50 degrees. Rumor is on sunny days pre tourney they are def up shallow.
