WHICH MOTOR 225 OPTI, OR 250 PRO XB,HELP???

ORDERED NEW BOAT ABOUT 8 WEEKS AGO WITH THE 225 OPTIMAX SHOULD I GO WITH THE 250 PROXB ? THE 250 IS LIGHTER THAN THE 225 BUT I THINK THE 225 WOULD GET BETTER GAS MILAGE. THE 250 REQURIES A MIN92 OCTANE GAS DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THE 225? AND HOW MUCH FASTER WOULD THE 250 BE COMPARED TO THE 225? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Well that depends on what your looking for... the 250XB will blow the 225 Optimax out of the water, both are built on a 3 liter block, as far as reliability i'd go with the optimax,and fuel efficent would defintally be the optimax, the 250XB for top end, in the end it's your call... personally i'd rather have the optimax.... much more fuel efficent, plus.... meets emission standards for 06... and you get a 2 yr waranty...
