switching out electronics

Does anyone know how to replace lowrance mark 5 from out dash of 2012 z6 . Was thinking of upgrading to elite 5 with gps hoping this is something I can do without going to my dealer.

Just reach behind the dash and unscrew the wing nuts on the studs holding the indash bracket.

I made the exact switch as soon as I got my Z6. The plugs are the same, the transducers work on either. I mounted the Mark 5 on the front. My only question was the dual range transducer on the Elite 5. Since I'm using the Mark 5 transducer that was already mounted, I'm not sure if I am getting the dual transducer function. Anyway, the Elite 5 GPS has been the best purchase so far.
