Replacing the transom core in my nitro(95 180 f/s). Question, are there suppose to be wood stringers in the hull/bildge area tying to the inner transom skin?? I have the inner skin off in mine to get at the bad wood and noticed theres no wood in the stringer area. Just very thick fiberglass support truss like i guess there. No signs of wood ever being there very clean. There's another person on BBC site getting ready to do his 1993 180f/s and going to pull the cap off his which he's never done before. In his pics on that site it shows no wood there either and very clean, so now i wondering. Plus im concerned he's going to alot of trouble just to repair his transom. Was wondering if anyone here had any input on this stringer question. Thanks...
