hello all, i have a 2001 bt 185xt 75hp merc. took it out last week to an inland lake. purred like a kitten. went out to lake st clair yesterday. started out fine. came up on plane, ran good. got out in 1-2 foot chop couldnt get over 3000 rpm. if i trimmed up far enough the rpm's came up but wasnt pulling the boat. had to trim down and run it at 15-20 mph. any suggestions? too much lake for that little boat? motor need to be lowered on transom? any help would be appreciated. i'm a noob to boating. thanks,mike.
