An unidentified hot babe has reportedly seen three of the Amigos in the MVM just outside of Hideaway Habor on Lake St Clair. Police believe they are armed and dangerous with over 100 fishing rods and 10 tackle bags full of a variety of ammo. They were spotted whacking toads all over the lake. If you see these men, please proceed with caution. The MPD have released this photo to help with identification.

Man,..What a weekend!! We saw EVERYTHING from fishing in t-shirts on Friday, to fishing in HAIL on Sunday!! That's right...pea sized hail was all over Mini's front deck on his boat during one drift on sunday....AWESOME!! The best part??..we caught fish EVERYDAY of the trip....sometimes BIG ONES and sometimes lots of smaller ones,..but we were bound and determined to catch'em no matter what...and mission accomplished!! Unfortunately, I left my camera in Mini's boat again, so my pix's won't be posted for awhile.....but here's a few from Teri's camera! YEP,..she flew in Friday and fished with us Saturday and Sunday morning before flying back home Sunday afternoon!! What a trooper...she also caught the BIGGEST smallie of her life too....4.5lbs!! NICE Fish Teri!! (almost as good as that smile!! ) Here's a few pix's of fish, the house we rented, the sunset we had to live with on Friday,...and some of the baits we use for SUPER TOAD's!! :blink: Lot's more pix's to follow after Tox and C get home and upload their pix's!! Man that was a FUN weekend!!

What a great weekend. Anytime I feel like being treated like a queen, I am going to look these guys up. They hooked me up with gear, tackle and fish. I was even awakened from a nap to find a big pile of king crab legs. Yum! I can't say enough good things about Mac, Mini, Carlos and Toxic. Great guys!

I happend to get lucky this trip out and caught my first ever Musky! WOW what a fight! Caught him on 6lb Izorline and a SENKO!!!!! Was using a Pro Qualifier rod that just ROCKED and I think I broke it in right!

Plus I got lucky and caught LOTS AND LOTS of smallies...Like Mac Daddy said, some small and some TOADS! I did not beat my best from last year (Dumb ass me, lost it at the boat...another story) but here is a pic of a good one from the last day out...the day the wind died (isnt that a song???)

Here are the "Dons" of the MVM hard at work after a long days fishing! You should have heard the NOISES coming from them!

Here is a good one of the last day that was nice out....man we had some WIND and weather this trip.....but the lake was good to the visitors! Almsot resembled an endurance contest at times, but the fish were there!

GREAT Pix's Carlos!!...Thanks for posting!! Man, I was so wiped out by the time I dozed off, I didin't even know you took that pix!! LMAO!! I "think" I woke up about 815pm,....a few minutes later anyway...it's 8:05pm (clock on the wall) and I was out like a Tiger batter!!! It's amazing how much sun, wind, and fresh air takes out of you after 9 hours on the water. Without a doubt, this years' gathering was the BEST one ever,...the cottage was PERFECT and like Teri says,.."it's to bad we all live so far apart....we NEED to do this more often than once a year!!" Amen to that sister,....this group of friends is the BEST and I sure am glad and proud to be a part of it. Can't wait for next years bash!! I'll post more pix's of FISH as soon as I get my camera back (or Mini downloads them for me and sends'em to me,...he's got my camera!! LOL)

What a trip!! If the weather had broke we would have had un-frickin-believable fishing.

As it was we had fan-frickin-tastic fishing.:lol::lol: It was great to finally meet Teri, she is one cool lady. We have some great stories from this trip. Just our luck to get a place on the lake near the best spawning areas, then have the weather turn totally rancid on us and we have to trailer to the other side of the lake. Didn't matter much because of the cold weather, the huge female smallies were still staging for the spawn, bucks were cozying up to the beds (mini's termanology )and with the winds...and I do mean winds...highest gusts were in the 35mph range, the spawning areas we planned on fishing were muddied. I did not get my 6 but Neeley did. Had plenty of 5's and a load in the 3-4 range. Made a run with Neeley across the lake in 5+ footers We normally wouldn't do that but we had no choice, Ken's trailer was across the lake (when I say across, I mean like 15-20 miles). His Skeeter did a fine job and his driving was spot on. It was like a carnival ride!! Everybody had a blast and I've got 2 raw thumbs which is normal for a MVM get together!! Can't wait for next year. Thanks to all for making this another example of friendship, fishing, and family.

Thanks to all that came, to all that wished they came. Once you experience it you will realize why we live in this godforsaken state of unemployment, foreclosure and worst of all, WEATHER! This was BAD fishing, and most would have caught more fish in 4 days than you ever have.



Looks like this weekend it will be on...the weather is gonna break. I heard from a buddy that fished the spawning bay yesterday that we should have fished.....you dont want to know...lol



I think I am gonna run over there tonight after work...or maybe tomorrow. Mac? You gonna ride?

That is sooooooo funny, I was talkin to Mac about that very thing this morning!! I have not talked to CIII but I agree 100%!! It is just too hard to get 3 or 4 days of good weather or to put it another way, IF you get bad weather on your 3 or 4 day trip you are royally screwed. I want to do a week minimum. Drive in Saturday, drive out the next Saturday. Ups the odds of hitting good weather.



Don't sweat the drop in's Mini....they didn't stay long and were nice people.

Skulbrod is like a giant Boston creme donut. (Aaaahhh....donut. The fifth food group!!):wub::wub:



CB is the top beer there. (IMHO) Christiansand Bryggeire (SP?) = Kristiansand Brewery They have a few flavors to choose from, but I like the original CB ale. Better than Elephant Beer, although it's another good choice, but made in Denmark. Either one is tasty to drink and by volume will take very few to feel the impact! :wacko: During the Fall and Christmas holiday CB makes Julebrus. (Yule beer) It's a small batched botique kind of beer and sodas that are DEEE-LISH!!!:wub:



WARNING: Things to avoid: (1)Glog - nasty raisin, twigs, and bark with mulled spice hot wine that will make you "call the bears" quick with a nasty hangover to boot. (2)Lutefisk - Lye soaked cod carcass, rinsed and then cooked (boiled) for consumption. (I'd rather starve!!) (3)Ragnar - Still quite undefined, claimed to be edible, mass of squid gut looking smelly stuff that is better left in a crab trap. (4) Avoid eye contact with the women in short sleeves or halter tops. When they raise their arms you'll swear they're smuggling a tarantula under each pit! :wacko:

Went out driving today and saw Reindeer, foxes and lots of birds, no moose though.



You are right on the coffee! great stuff!



Had the herring in vinegar and herring in sherry tonight.....the ones in the sherry were a bit better.



Bought some dougnut looking things from a coop today for lunch that were pretty good. Had a injorn beer (only two with dinner, each one is 10 bucks!) that was good but cost tooo much!!!



Will take pains to avoid glog, and the lutefisk.....



We are goign to go out for another drive to the NE tomorrow, looks to be fun!

I've had Lutefisk, it's big up in Wisconsin. Not too bad if you can get past the smell (no wise cracks :lol: ). I gave them a sample of bad smell in the cottage and Lutefisk would be perfume compared to that!!:lol:

With you guys mentioning Lutefisk, it brought to mind a food travelall where the host showed how it was prepared and he sampled some. I think it was in Wisconsin and it was like a Lutefisk festival and they had it at all the local fire departments, VFW's, etc.

Sooooo I just had to look it up and found a pretty funny story about it. That's the link I've provided.
