Lowrance 4.0 update

Has anyone updated to the 4.0 yet on their locaters. I tried and cannot get my to take. How long does it take to update them with the information. I tried for two hours and still did not get it to work on the HD5 and HD7.

I did my HDS 8 this weekend. Took about 20 minutes and worked great. If you are using a used SD card, format it first.

I did. Sped up the maps considerably!

I understand they are having problems with the 4.0 booting your system and the fix should be out this month. Anyone having problems with their HDS7?

I did updated on both a HDS5 and HDS7 with no problems. The three pane view is nice even on the smaller screens.

That is my problem I cannot get my units to boot the new 4.0. We are having bad weather today so I will try again Wednesday. Two many tornados here today in Oklahoma. I have a 7 and a 5.

Did you run the application after the download before you saved it to the SD card?

Got it done had a bad file on the download. Works great now thanks for the help. Made the unit a lot faster.
