Check out this boat closely. It took me reading the specs to realize that it's actually a center, single console Triton. I had heard about them, aside from 911's, but never saw one. I like this idea a lot. Better weight distribution, and you can walk around the entire boat if need be. I think it's great. Anyone ever seen one up close? How are they? I like the 911, DUAL center better though. You can seat 4 people wide in those fat boys! That really is the ideal guide boat.

Seriously though Rob..I love that 911 CDC! If I had that kinda' bread..I'm sure I'd make you proud and go fiberglass. Oops..what the hell did I just say.

Ever been in one? They're HUGE! You could fish 3 easily and I bet 4 with some planning out of it. That with a MK TM that had the long cable, so I could run it back to the console and run the boat while sitting would be a perfect guide boat. I could worry about clients and running the boat and safely fish 3 clients. 1 replacing me up front, so there would be 2 on the front deck like normal, and one on the back deck. Then I could just sit and relax and run the TM. With 3 clients I could charge more! If I make more per day, then I can swing a 911 payment.......Hey, I think I'm on to something here. I better check this over with my business unit manager! She gets the final say!

With inline seats, not enough back deck room. You really don't think I want clients up front next to me do you? NAH, I'd look like some tribal warrior before it was all done and said. Thumbs down by me.

Don't follow you there Tox. What on the back deck room? There's plenty, and you won't be on the front deck, you'd be sitting down. As it is, I have 2 clients, one on the back deck, and one up front with me. No other way. You cram them both on the small back deck and fish alone up front? Man, do you ever get any tips??? LOL

functionally it probably works out well. kindof looks odd to me. I'd call it the "one eyed monster" or a "bay boat wanna be" - just teasin. kidding aside, i've wondered what driving a center console would be like. I'm used to being able to look over the side and check clearance when i passing thru timbered areas.

I've seen the Alison's with the Single center console and a rear bench (they call it a fish/ski I think). I've run into on the water an older center console bass boat (can't remember the brand thought) didn't know Triton sold one.

Create a boat where you can fold the console into the floor... The 911 CDC actually has a pedestal hole in the front of the dual console, so you can mount three seats for fishing. The only negative is that it's not on the deck and I bet an inexperienced person would do some good damage to the consoles with the rod.

I know me and I'd be trippin over those back seats as sure as rain. And no, I don't want anyone up front with me unless I am not fishing (and can tell when to duck). It doesn't take long to eat up tips in hospital bills LOL!! Besides, as long as I can put them on fish from the backseat, they are more than happy! And yes, I get some nice tips thank you very much!!

Hey Guys I got a 911 for sale if any of you want to buy one.

Guys maybe we can even convert somebody to glass instead of tin. :)

T.S.

The Center Console Triton was built for the WCF racing....

Like it, I dont think it lasted very long.

The 911 is the perfect guide boat. I had three of em....sure gonna miss that 98" beam when I get my Skeeter...

Mini

Mini,

I like the 911 too. My daughter and I "built" one on Tracker website last night and it ended up at $41k without freight and rigging. OUCH!! Then we built an 898 for about $33k. Definitely not the same boat, but more affordable if the economy (and my stocks) ever recover. Are you still going to be in Houston for the Classic? I'll swing down if you are.

Rob:

Do you know what model that Triton is? I can't find the model name/number on the net anywhere.

I think it's just the TR-20, but it would have been listed as a center console. As mini said, they may not offer them anymore.

As plans are right now I will be in Houston. I am planning on staying longer than the show so I can fish a little.....make that ALOT!

Mini

It's a Triton 200XP. You're right; a 20-foot, center console Triton!

New Picture, too.

Check out Allison boats. They've done this for years. Their primary bassboats always are built this way. For them, it's matter of speed, get all the weight evenly distributed. And they know anbout speed, they make the fastest bass boats on the planet. I personally like the center consoles, they're great for guys like me that usually fish alone.

Mo, can you get an above, "layout" shot? Everyone is wondering about the 2 other seats in relation to the center console.

From what I can see, it looks like they are set back from teh driver's seat a bit, on either side.

Still don't like it, why.... I dunna know....just doesn't feel right. I'd have to fish outta it, that might change my mind.

Well that settles the tripping over the seats issue. Unless you're just clumsy! LOL I like it. Think it's slick. It does take a little getting used to. Like British cars with steering wheels on the opposite side. At a glance, somethings not right. But you get used to it.
