"Belt-Pack" SOSpenders

Was at a sporting goods store on Sunday and spotted some SOSpenders belt-pack models...

Anyone have any experience with these units?

It looks like nothing goes over the shoulders...just a small pack that you wear like a belt...

Sure look like they would be even more comfortable than the regular SOSpenders...

They are Coast Guard approved (either Type III or Type IV, can't remember).

I think they are meant to inflate and then you have to put them on around your neck after they have inflated. they do look handy.

These are very comfortable, but remember to always have the "pouch" in front of you. If it is in the back, when it inflates it will force your face down into the water vice versa when in the front it will float you on your back.

Guy I fished with last weekend had one. Takes it off every time he stops the boat. Don't know how good they work.
