2 batteries -Trolling motor Tracker Combo 175 Pro Guide

My question is , would the floor support(where original trolling motor battery is)2 group 24 deep cycle trolling motor batteries in a 2019 Tracker 175 Combo Pro Guide. A boat mechanic says lithium but then says if batteries catches fire jump out of the boat! Would like to add a 24 volt trolling motor

I have a 2021 Tracker 175 pro guide Combo, and 1st question I asked mechanic if I could put two batteries in compartment… he said yes, no problem.. I ultimately decided on two Lithiums for my 24V Terrova.
I am not sure if two lead acid batteries 27-31 size would fit. I would measure carefully. As it was, I had to turn one of the Lithiums on it side to prevent terminal contact with floor of boat…only alternative if you want lead acid is to pull one battery back into floor compartment.

If your adding batteries to the front of the boat, definitely go lithium, much better battery and waaaaay lighter.
