10 lb bass caught in potomac

Was fishing out of bell haven today and heard a guy talking about a 10 that came from the river by the ww brigde, said he would only belive it if he had a picture and low and behold the marina has one. the fish buried a 10 lb scale so it was called a 10+, the fish was released to spawn. I wonder if it could have been a marylad record?
