The seats on my new/used Sprint had a lot of torn seams. The vinyl was generally pretty good, but the stiching had let go in many paces: The front buckets, on the rear bench, the bow deck bolsters, etc. Pretty much all needed to be resewn or recovered.
Pulled all the seats out a couple of months ago and dropped it at a local, mom-and-pop upholstry shop that does mostly automotive and furniture repair work. It took them a while because I had the craftsman order UV resistant nylon thread, but it was worth the wait. Just picked them up today, and wow, what a difference!
When I bought this boat, I thought I'd be looking at at least a grand for new vinyl and/or repairs. This guy fixed all of my seats for $300. If you need this type of work done, don't go to a marine vinyl shop if you can find a good local upholsterer. If they use the right materials, the job can be every bit as good as a marine shop.

And what they look like after repairs and cleaning:
