Question Do you all run your fule empty ,fill it up or just treat whats left?

Last year I filled mine all the way up and treated with Stabil, but now I have 52 gallons in the Ranger :(, I may just treat what's in there.

I just keep adding fresh in and never stop fishing!

But to answer, the metal tanks should be filled... I believe the plastic ones dont have a condensation issue, so the quantity doesn't matter... and use stabil on whatever quantity you have in the tank.

I believe that most "modern" bass boats with built in tanks are made of "plastic"...

There has to be a spot where you can see the fuel fill and/or access to the leads for the fuel gauge sensor.

I keep my fuel and oil tanks filled all year long. During the winter when I don't use the boat as much add Sta-bil to the fuel.

Steve

yep, Sta-bil for my stuff also. I put it in the riding mower fuel tank too because I park it outside under a tarp during the winter. Have to make room in the garage for the wife's truck in the nasty weather.

I purchased a PT175 this summer and the mechanic told me stabil, stabil, stabil. He said 80% of the motorscarbs he has to rebuild could have been prevented if they had used stabil. He said to use it even in the summer.

Chris - 52 gallons are easy to go through quickly - 1) take the kids out for a few last RUNS up/down the lake in the 60's mph range!!! or 2) garden hose siphon to the truck and wife's car!! That was our plan during the shortages here after the hurricanes. At one point I had 35 gallons extra in the garage (11 gallons in the Tracker and 24 gallons in the Nitro)!!

I usually run Stabil but this year I am going with Seafoam, suppose to be a little better product.
