Can you believe it???

Just to compare...How much 'stuff' do you have?

Don't make an actual count...just a decent guess for rod/reel combos, soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and hardbaits...

Here's my 'stuff'

9 bass rod/reel combos

5 ultra-light rod/reel combos

6 six-pack soft-sided coolers full of soft plastics

2 boxes of spinnerbaits (40 total)

150 hardbaits (cranks, rapalas, rattletraps, etc.)

az

Sounds about right... The last time my wife asked me why I needed so many rods and reels, I asked her how many pairs of black shoes she had... For some reason that ended the conversation!

LOL

WA-A-A-AY TOO MUCH!!!!

Ship half of it to me and that'll put us both just about right!

i have a lot of stuff too, somtimes i think i have way too much stuff

14 bass rods and reels

5 surf rods

2 saltwater trolling rods

3 salt water boat rods

2 fly rods

over 100 spinnerbaits

over 100 hard baits (freshwater)

over 100 hard baits (saltwater)

50 + flipping jigs

hundreds of flies

i think i could weigh my soft plastic by the metric ton i have that much of it

Oh man it is not worth discussing... I am so bad...

Hmmmmm....not quite enough. Need to make a run to BPS and stock up. A couple of years ago I was whining about Ol' Spinecrusher not running like she used to and my fishing buddy went to pulling tupperware containers full of plastic out of the storage compartments . rods from the rodboxes and about a dozen plano 3700s from the front comp. We launched her and regained the 4 mph I had lost. So until youv'e got enough crap in the boat to noticably slow her down. You ain't got enough..........Cmack

Hey just tell her that she's lucky you only have to replace all that gear every other year.

fatrap

Tell her you made a deal with the "BigGuy".....he asked you,.."Tackle,....or Hair?!".....LOL

And that's just fishing stuff!! Lets not even get into:

Mountain bikes & stuff

Skis & stuff

Golf clubs & stuff

Guns & stuff

Bows & stuff

Hockey Skates & stuff

New hobbies are great but it's the "stuff" that goes along with it that's the fun part.

Okay, I'll try.......

--23 rod & reels

--9 extra rods

--200+ hardbaits

--75 pounds of plastic baits

--75 jigs

--LOTS of misc. "stuff" (hooks, weights, etc.

--I even have TWO boats!

(40+ guns, 3-bows, etc.)

I tell her I could be doing a lot of other things that she would like a lot less! (by the way, that doesn't help!)

Geeesh, I can't wait until Buzz chimes in on this one. He'll be sleeping in that basement soon if his wife catches him buyin any more! LOL, Let's see....hmmmm....now keep in mind, I try to keep it to a min so.....

Last I checked I think I have about 13 to 15 combos for bass/multi

1 fly rod

1 UL for trout

about 5 "parts" rods with broken tips etc.

Then theres at least 4 rods out there for the kids maybe 5 or 6, can't recall.

Tackle.....heheehehehe!

1 tackle bag that's my boat bag, I have NO earthly idea how many baits are in it, but it has to weigh about 65 lbs, so a LOT.

3 soft, double sided bags of plastics along with 3 FULL wal-mart bags of excess plastics. Then theres my boys tackle box, ya know those REALLY big ones Plano makes, and then I have 2 small tackle boxes, 1 for panfish, the other for trout. Couple of random plano boxes, say maybe 10-12 of misc tackle I don't use any more. Mostly kickin around in my shed. But then theres life jackets and fish finders and nets and cull systems, 20 gallons of 2-cycle oil out there, battery chargers AND batteries. YUP, I now that you mention it......I DO need to go stock up! Thanks for the reminder Andy. Tell your wife that if she wants to put your collection into perspective call my wife or Buzz's! She'll be happy that's all you have! LOL OH and hunting gear????? I ain't goin near that one!

My problem with buying fishing equipment was solved for me about 3 weeks ago. Returned from a 2 day Federation trip. Momma had gone out and bought 3 new living room chairs ($800 total) and rearranged the living/dining rooms.

That has now, for awhile at least, taken care of that problem!

Also - wife asked last night 'when are we going to buy a new big screen for upstairs'? The old one needs an expensive repair, the picture tears/rolls pretty bad. Guess I'll just have to break down and buy a new one now!

Tex

Dang Tex, wish I had YOUR problems! LOL How bad can the repair be? Can't be as much as a NEW big screen? I'd love a 52" to watch football on. Can you imagine how big Roland's fish would be on THAT TV. God son....that's a 18 lber right thar son! LOL

Hey Tex,

I bet your wife is anxious to have at least one thing that is big and works upstairs! LOL

Sorry, I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if I passed it up!

Rich D

Rich - Great one!!!! Beat me to the punch!!!

I keep trying to get Tex's wife and Mine together so SHE can get BEKA to get into Couple's fishing t's!!!

Hey Rich D,

I had to break out the "shoes" argument this winter too, and it DOES work!

Just guessing, I probably have

8 baitcasting rods/reels-bass,stripers,etc

4 spinning rods/reels-bass

4 spinning rods/reels- cats, crappie,walleye,etc.

2 ultralite spinning combo's-bluegill,crappie,etc.

'bout a hundred crankbaits

'bout 20 spinnerbaits

'bout 40 jigs

'bout a gazillion bajillion quadrillion bazillion worms, lizards, trailers, etc.

seems I can have as much "tackle" as I want, but one new rod or reel shows up, and she notices, but the old "shoe" argument works every time....... hehe egMike

Hehehe I don't fell so bad know. I was starting to think I had a problem with all my stuff. But it look like my pile won't make decent conversation with you folks.. But we are just talking fishing right. Not TOOLS or Hunting or Race car parts or spare cars for that matter.. Heck I got car parts in 4 states. If I were to pass on today somebody could start a good junkyard..

BF

Dont have enough time to count everything but I have to keep buying bigger boats to carry all the stuff, the joke around my house is the boat is just a big tackle box with a motor to ride around on,started with 12' jon boat, just bought 2003 Nx882 and finding room is running out fast as I load in all my stuff, can never have enough senko's

Allright. I have to admit, that was a pretty good one Rich. I am sitting here smiling!

Rob - the cost of the repair (TV) is estimated at $800+. I paid $1000 for the set (used from a friend about 6 years ago). My rule of thumb is that if I have to spend more than about 40% of new cost, to do a repair, just get a new one. Not a pressing issue right now. Too many other things going on.

Tex

Tex - Just saw an add in the paper yesterday from Best Buy "Toshiba 50" theater-view projection TV - $809.99 (that's $899.99 - 10% coupon in the ad!!)!!!!

I'm gonna try that 'shoe thing' the next time...

Besides...I haven't been smacked lately!

hahaha

az

I cant even begin to think about how much "stuff" I have. I do knowthat I have a stack of 3700 boxes taller than me. Thise are the baits that I actually have taken out of the packages. And 3 to 4 times that amount in other storage boxes.

I aint counting rods....wayyy too many.

Mini

LOL Rick!

Ain't it funny how you go looking for a certain lure, can't find it then my 7 yr old son says "Oh, I put it in my tackle box"... well, I guess it USED to be mine, lol egMike
