Anybody heard from Scott? Have not seen a post from him since last week. Would of thought he would be in the middle of all this Rally talk.

Robert

He's probably on a road trip,.....last time he dissappeard for awhile he was out of town on business.

But on the otherhand,...he could be flingin' some of those flies around,...the dude can tie flies man!!!

He sent me a few a month or so ago,.......I was totally impressed! Great stuff Maynard!!

I'm with Mac, probably on a rod trip. But HEY, doesn't he have to check in with us before he leaves for more than 24 hours and post his itinerary so we know where he is at all time?? We could start a whole new section - Where in the world is Scott today???

We could also have him post his schedule and route and have a "Spot the Scott" contest! If you can produce a picture or signed document that you ACTUALY saw and/or talked to Scott you'd get a prize!

He does tie a MEAN fly, have not had a chance to hit the pond with them yet, but those wolley buggers look better then the one's I bought at the fly shop! But from looking at the pictures Carli's Bass Bunnies are a close second!

that right Trep...he's got to check in so that we can keep an eye on him...he's either mischievous or we keep tabs on the health issues...

Scott BTW we had a toast specifically for you at the rally!

Pierre

Oh, Lord, Pierre..... I'm afraid to ask..... Will Rich allow posting of that kind of language on this board?

Sorry, Guys! As I just mentioned to Michael in a post above, I've been in the hospital for the last few days - a bad cold turned into pneumonia.....

Robert - How's Laura doing? Tell her that I'm envious - Penny didn't send me anything while I was in the hospital!

Now, I gotta tell you guys..... They DID have some of the most wonderful nurses at this Anderson Hospital near where I now live..... I think I'm gonna try for a relapse! So, if you don't hear from me for a few more days.....

I mean, I gotta go back! My voice has been so hoarse the past few days that I didn't even get a chance to sing to any of them!

Carli - You don't mind if I sing to them, too, do you? You know that you'll always be #1 in my heart!

me!

Scott,

Glad you are "better"... As you can see...lot's of discussion about 2003 Rally...Most of the talk moves it a little south and east to Kentucky. I posted some mileage comparisons and Ky is "doable" by a lot of people who put the drive at around 8-10 hours maximum...400-500 miles... Anyway, I think we are at least "obligated" to help create a formal survey and e-mail location... So put on your thinking cap and formulate some ideas on survey questions. We can then get them to Rich...(BTW everybody can/should contribute to this survey formulation) I'm thinking along the lines of a 1st and 2nd pick from a list of possible lakes...and then a max mileage question...like 400-500-600, etc.

Scott - FIRST - Welcome back and glad your still with us. I think you need to take the following text, have it engraved on a bracelet and NEVER Take it OFF:

Attention - This man is a NITRO-aholic, if for any reason he is not able to get to an internet accessable PC with in the next 12 hours, you are required by law to post a message at www.nitroowners.com on the "Nitro/Tracker Board" with the current location, status and emergency contact information for Scott!

I'd love to fish Kentucky Lake or any of the others mentioned..... But I don't know how much help, if any, I'd be able to provide in the organization. It's just too far away. Even Table Rock would be difficult.

If we do Mark Twain, I'd be happy to take on the bulk of the responsibility.

A few things to consider:

Nearby entertainment for families would be great - IF they came. For our first two, as I understand it, only one, non-fishing wife went along.

A resort with a private ramp and docks would be nice..... Everything comes at a price - this one I'm sure would not be worth it to me. It isn't that difficult to launch and load one or two extra times over the weekend. How many buxs is it worth to you?

What are our priorities in this event? The competition? Lots of big fish? Perfect weather? This proximity of citrus groves and hopps fields? Mine is just to get together with a bunch of folks - some whom I've met and some I that I'd like to - just for the comraderie!

me!
