Funny you should mention that cause I was wondering the same thing. His last post was on 9/29. Maybe he just got behind the wheel of that new Ram and is still heading down the road or he could be working two jobs to pay for it. LOL

That's funny I almost posted this same exact question on Monday. I hope everything's alright. Maybe he hit the lotto and moved to Alaska?

Thanks for the concern about my whereabouts, folks. I guess I didn

Sounds like you've been busier than a cat covering up crap in a hailstorm. Also sounds like you've been doing some good work. Glad to hear that you that you didn't fall in.

Glad to hear you're doing well, Mark!

Congrats on the fish! 4 1/2 is HUGE in that lake!

You once told me you never had any luck with spinnerbaits..... I'm going to drop one in the mail to you - 1/8 oz firetiger - to give a try down there..... Just slow crank it in near the bottom and see what happens.....

me!

Don't do it MO! Consider the source! LOL If you wanna catch dinks then by all means, be my guest, but no self respecting bass will hit a SB less than a 1/4 oz, and I'd go up to 3/8 or 1/2 oz to keep with the 4+ lbers! LOL

Had to do it ME. You make it too easy!

Dang, Rob! That hurts! :^)

But you haven't seen the fish in the lake he's takling about..... There are so many in this lake that their growth is stunted. In the two days we were there, three people fishing out of Mark's TV-18 at all times, we must have caught somewhere around 200 fish - maybe more. I don't think a single one went over a pound. Lots of fun catching them on light tackle! Never a dull moment! Especially when you're fishin' with the MOFish! But that lake is well suited to a 1/8 oz spinnerbait!

Remember these pictures of John and Mark!

And my brother-in-law has a 9-pounder from this lake hanging on his wall. It was caught on 6-pound test!

Hey, Mark..... E-mail me an address that I can send the spinnerbait to. Work or home. I thought I had them but don't.

Me!, the spinner bait came in today's mail (just in time, since I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Corpus Christi). Thanks! Can't wait to try it out down at THE RANCH, but I'll have to wait until spring. The lake closed on November 1 and won't be open until April 1.

This thing looks like it might be good on LOZ crappie, too!

BTW - If I'm using a spinning rod/reel with a 1/8 oz spinnerbait, should I tie it to a leader and swivel to keep line twist down, or just tie the spinnerbait directly to my line?

TOX said it - line only. Spinnerbaits don't twist and turn the way roostertails do.

Try using it on that light casting outfit you've got! Last year this time I went over to Carlyle for white bass and fished the riprap using that spinnerbait, a Shimano Curado 101 / 8# clear Stren and a 6' ML Extreme rod. (My purchase of that combination was inspired ny your light outfit!) The setup turned oiut to be just about perfectly balanced..... The white bass were running..... I had a blast!

For others here, we are talking about a Strike King 1/8 oz "Mini-King" with a single, gold colorado blade and firetiger skirt. Sells at WallyWorld for about $1.98 if I remember correctly.
