I'm just wandering what is a Nitro State Team?Is it just something some states have? I have never heard of it in Minnesota .

I'm waiting for the rain to pass so I can get on the roof.Know get of the schools computer which by the way are paid for by my tax dollars and start pushing the broom BOY!

Your dad,

we'll see if your up and coming government job with the United States Marine Corp is as cushee .

State Team's are "dealership sponsored" angler's that work for a local dealer to help and promote Nitro/Tracker Boats at local and state wide boat shows and tournaments. Each dealer's program is different based on the dealer's willingness to participate. Some dealers may not want to sponsor a fisherman/woman,..other's may sponsor several. Requirements are pretty simple....just agree to buy a boat at a discounted price, and put in the required hours in exchange for the discount. Usually the state team "rules" require a minimum of 40hrs over the year, but Mini and I regularly put in WELL over that amount,....filing your quarterly reports and keeping your local dealer and the corporate people informed of what you are doing for them and for Tracker is critical to keeping your sponsorship. Nobody likes to pay full retail price for our "toys",..so if you love to fish tournaments or you feel you have another unique talent that can bring exposure to you, your dealer, or the boat company, then by all means apply for a spot on their "State or National" Teams.....you'd be surprised how easy it is to land a deal like that,...and you'll also be surprised how easy it is to LOSE it if you think you don't have to do anything to keep it!!..LOL...

Contact your local Nitro/Tracker dealer in your area and ask if they sponsor a "State Team". If they do,...ask if you can send them a resume for their consideration. If they don't sponsor a person or a team,..then perhaps you can ask to set up an appt. with the Boat Sales Mgr. and tell him/her how you can help him/her sell more boats. Be willing to GIVE more than you receive though, and you'll be on the right track...some people will say your crazy, but that's how you succeed. People use to tell me all the time I'd never be able to combine fishing with cartooning and illustrating,...luckily for me I ignored them!! Now they ask me to help them get "hooked up!"...yeah,...riiight. LOL

A State Team is usually the 1st level of sponsorship,....followed by National Teams and then Pro Teams. Each level has their own requirements and qualifications, and each boat company has their own criteria from which they choose their angler's.....keep an open mind,...and don't be affraid to ask questions! The trend now is to get MAJOR sponsorships from outside the fishing industry...these companies are spending big $$$ to get their products and logo's known within the fishing circle....i.e. Stanley tools, Snicker's, Kellog's, etc..etc.. Action-Performance is another one,...that deal for me, is absolutely incredible...i life changer!!! But it all boils down to putting your time in,...getting known,..doing more than required, and getting a little lucky in the process,...but deffinetely DON'T let anyone tell you that you can't do anything...don't waste your energy or time listening,...just smile,...and prove'em wrong! Good luck....sponsorships are ALWAYS available...ya just gotta look for them and be ready to act when the opportunity knocks!! Good Luck
