This is my first post here I have a 2003 pro 165 with a 25 mercury on it bought it new last year. After the first time out with it ( second boat for me ) I knew that something had to be done ot make it easer to load on my trailer. I put on a pair of pvc boat guides 48" tall. I got great results from them not only can I load a lot easer in the wind but can alwise see my trailer when backing up. I also put on a se sport hydrofiol on the motor and it makes a huge difference in the way it turns at low speed almost as good as my old fiberglass boat did. I just now have put on a xps phase charger it will put a charge into the trolling batter from the Mercury when the starter battery is full. I like the way this works I can stay out and fish for a lot longer than I could before. I have not been on here very long and wonder what you have done to make your boat yours?

Lets see the list is pretty long for my 882.

2005 PT175:

Had dealer mount a Lowrance X47 on the bow when I bought it. Adding a gps mount next week.

2005 Triton Tr186 Limited Edition, pretty much ordered it with everything I wanted.. But have added a couple items.

1- T&H Zipper Boot

2- Replaced 2 bank charger with Dual Pro SE 3 bank 30 amp

JoeH

This is what a speed clip looks like. It replaces the screws so i can pull the windshields easily to clean them and underneath too.

2004 Targa 17DC (delivery date 3/19/05)

50hp merc replaced with 115 Opti

55# 12v MinnKota replaced with 74# 24v MK

had all compartment handles removed & Nitro handles installed (wife insisted to not break a nail)

Lowrance X47 removed, LMS332C added on helm

Eagle Fishmark 480 added to bow

Ram Mounts for both locaters

4 Ram 2000 trolling rod mounts added

Dual Pro SE 2 bank charger w/rear mounted plugin port w/cover

swim platform w/2 rung pull out ladder (nutter wife insisted option)

Rod Saver straps on both sides

Rod Saver strap installed to secure TM from bouncing

KeelGuard

custom cover

4th matching seat & pedestal

And lastly, note the reference to it being a Dual Console..I had the walkthru windshields removed & had 2 black plexi single console windshelds installed, thus making it a true DC (possibly the only one in existence? even the Tracker factory reps were amazed at it during a boat show it was in prior to delivery)

The last thing to do after I get the Opti brokenm in, is adding a PowerTech SS prop from Pat Goff

I have mounted my gps under my lowrance next to the console. Boat buckles are next.
hhmounts_t.jpg

Also installed RAM Mount for my Garmin GPSMAP 76 ...how could I forget about that....:(

Sully,

Can't recall right now, but is it metal or wood where you mounted your gps? Putting mine in next week.

It's aluminum covered wood substance. Not thick but very sturdy. I drilled very small pilot holes and simply screwed the base in. That sucker isn't going anywhere. I'll take a pic later today.

MAN this is gonna take me a bit to remember...

- Lock installed on front tackle compartment

- GPS mount (or cell phone, works for either) at the console

- Rod Locker and battery compartment spring loaded holderopeners (can't think of the term)

- aluminium sheet with wrapped edge under driver's seat, to provide a better seal in rain

- 4 rod holders (2 up front and 2 in the rear)

- Super Saver rod strap on rod ramp

- Velcro Rod Strap on rear deck (behind driverseat so extra rods run up side of windshield_

- Mesh/velcro gear holder to side of console

Hey Rich

What is top speed with your 25hp? Do have the 9.9 as a kicker motor?

Thanks

X

:D

1.) Put Garmin 240 on the T/M

2.) Filled the the fuel tank at a single stop.

Da Bear

Sully,

Thanks for the info on what's under the carpet :)

X,

Best case with the 25 is around 21mph. That is a light load. Average maybe 18. Last time out, I had a hard time getting up on plane, but I was pretty well loaded.

I use the 9.9 on the restricted lakes. I take it off when I don't need it.
