Welding on a TV-18

I've got a 2000 TV-18.

This is the last model year before Tracker went to welding the caps in the front and on the transom.

I've got a rivet broke on the front cap and am considering having it welded in lieu of replacing the rivet...

Has anyone done this or something similar on their tin rig???

Just make sure whoever you have do it is a certified MIG/TIG welder and it'll be better than new. I had some rivets come out on my 94 185 and he patched me right up. Althuough it has to be completely dry

I agree with Tee Andy.. I had a hole in my boat and a Tig welder made it better than new.
