Switched from tin to sparklies a couple of months ago -- first time I've ever had a water pressure guage. I took the hose off the back of water pressure guage for winter. How much water is still in the lines all the way to the motor and inside? I traced line to motor and I see that it t's into a bigger line going to actual pump. Do I need to disconnect the guage line at the T and blow out, or can I just blow out from disconnected guage end and will this blow out everything I should worry about? Or should I just blow the whole dang thing up and go hibernate for winter with some beer and a tv... LOL....or would it be easier to build a heated garage....LOL

Jeff, I am up in Wisconsin, although my boat is kept in my garage it still will get down to zero degrees inside. I have not yet in over 14 years of storing boats inside had one of those lines (speedo, water pressure) freeze.

Thanks. My old tin boat had a 50 hp Merc on it and it ran okay and I never did anything special to it. This glass boat has a 150 Xri and it runs so dang good, I just don't want to screw it up.

Thanks again. I feel better now.

stored my tin outside with a water pressure gauge since 1994 with no problems so far.now watch it break this year!
