In my tourney on Saturday, it was going off almost all the time. Other than driving me crazy with the noise, it just really bothered me, so I wanted to get down to the source of the problem.

Well, after trying to find the source of the errant warning buzzer problem, I think I have the mystery solved.

Took out the manual and read it through on the alarm system, and especially the oil injector system. I confirmed that the oil system was working fine - both the reservoir and the oil pump. It's not the overheating sensor, for it goes off when the motor is stone cold.

I decide that it is probably the 'moisture' problem that many have indicated it might be. While cleaning up the boat yesterday, I decided to test the 'system' again. Took off the cowling, and checked connections (both electrical and oil related). Then 'armed' the system again. No alarm, other than the test beep. After turning it on/off about 5 times, I was just attempting to turn off the ignition, when the alarm starts going off again.

It's the damn ignition switch! Took off the panel, and 're-seated' all the electrical connections, and also left it out in the sun for 3-4 hours.

Hopefully, if it goes off again this week, I can just fool with the switch and get it to turn off. If need be, I'll order a new switch, and get it replaced.

I agree with Toxic, the electrical pains become nightmares before being resolved. I find it amazing how many dumb ideas I think might be causing the problem before I do find it. And when I do find it, usually it's something simple that I accidently figured out. Darn gremlins. Hope you got it this time Tex.
