Walleye opener...finally!

Well, this Saturdy opens walleye in NY. I can't wait. Finally, I get to spend a full day on the water and target a game fish. I hope I get some for the frying pan. The last few years have really been slow. Water is high and cold with all the rain we've had. I think some stragglers will still be in the river. I had better enjoy it because next week it's back to the grind stone in Phili for Monday and Tuesday, then NYC Wednesday and Thursday, then up to Boston on Friday and then finally home. I'll be too beat to fish on that Saturday morning and I'll need to spend time with the kids if they don't come with me. If they do....then I WILL need a little time alone! LOL
