I was up to Rouses Point today, and picked up my Vermont Fishing License. For anyone looking to get a license, the Citco gas station on the left hand side just across the bridge from Rouses Point sells licenses. Cost is $15.00 for a one day and $20.00 for a three day and $41.oo for a non-resident season license. I found the rally launch site without to much trouble but never found the Stonhelm motel. I took a right back onto Route 9 towards Chazey from the launch site. Question is should I have taken a left and gone towards Plattsburg? Just want to know so I can find my way there Friday night the 7th of June. Jim

Jim,

what time did you go today ? I got there at 9 a.m. and left at 1:30. i did'nt find the motel neither.

I got there around 12:00 and left by 12:15. We must have just missed each other. I was searing a black jacket with tTracker Marine on it and a red Tracker hat. The only one I saw there was somebody pulling out a big full size fiberglass boat. Jim

Sorry guys. Buzz and I hit the water at about 7:30 until 11:30. My engine threw an alarm AGAIN!!!!! Brand new VRO was bad. So it's back in the shop. It was too windy anyhow. Buzz and I stayed in the river, and he caught his first jig n pig fish, and then his second which was to date, his largest bass, a solid 5+ lber. Sorry again we couldn't get across the lake or fish longer. They will have my boat ready by Friday, then I will fix the prop and back charge them. That's right, $3200 and they screwed up my prop. Momma said they would be days like this, there'd be days like this my Momma said. LOL

Jim,

That may have been me! Was the boat a black and gold Nitro ? I know what you mean Rob it was windy as hell. It's time like these when I was happy I had a boat to take me out in the lake...'cause that would have been a long drive for nothing. Yesterday was one of my better days on the water ever ! All this a Champlain....those who are hesitating don't, you gotta come out!!!

My son comes up from olka. for a 2 month visit he's 13 and I'm thinking of going to the rally and if he can fish. I would have to get him a vt. lic. or is he still under age where he can fish without a lic. Here in ct. I think he can.And I thougt champlain was in n.y?If he can then I have alot of planning to do. he comes up may 25th

Brad,

Vermont - Does not require a fishing license under 15 years of age.

New York - Does not require a fishing license under 16 years of age.

Also, Lake Champlain is in Vermont, just ask Rob!! New Yorkers are allowed to use it though!

Yeah, cause we're the only ones that really know how to fish it! LOL

Bassn,

From the Point Au Roche ramp, head north on rte 9 (a right just like you took). At the blinking yellow light turn left, Stonehlem is about 1/4 mile down on the right. Mobil station is right across the street.

Bassin, what color was the rig? What color/ style tow vehicle. That's about the time I left.
