Andy,

I notice you pull your boat with a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I do too. I have a 2001 4x4 with the 6cyl. It pulls my PT185 just great but the gas milage goes from around 19 to 20 mpg without the boat to below 12 mpg with the boat. I do turn off the OD which I think is recommended. I can hardly get from one gas station to another. Do you have similar gas milage? BTW my son's name is Andy too.

Hey Soonerfan...

Yep, my mileage suffers too when I'm towing...

It is the only thing I don't like about the Grand Cherokee.

I have the 4.0 inline 6 as well...however, I don't get the 19-20 when not towing...more like 16 to 18 when not and 14-15 when towing. I do not disable the OD unless I'm on a hilly road---when it starts cutting in and out I turn it off. I towed with a minivan prior to the GC...was used to 20mpg when towing...(still like this one better).
