I cleaned out my live well system with Clorox and wanted to make sure it was clear before my next tournament so I put a couple of fish in for a few hours last time out. When I released them I noticed a small turtle, about 3" dia, dead but intact, in the bottom of the live well. The biggest bass in there was 3 lbs. I have found small regurgitated stuff before but nothing that big. Does someone make a turtle lure?

That's the first time I've heard of that! I know that turtles will eat fish, didn't think it was the other way around. Makes sense, though. If bass can eat rats, mice, baby ducks, birds, snakes, why not a turtle too?

I was cleaning a bass I caught in a pond at Fort Stewart and found a turtle about that size in the stomach. I opened up the stomach and the darn turtle was still kickin'.:p That bass must have ate him just before I caught him. I put him in a bowl till I finished and checked on him about two hours later and he was gone? No way he could have climbed out, figure a bird snatched him up, or some varmit.........just wasn't his day:(
