trolling motor problems

I just put my new 700 lx in the water saturday. When trying out the trolling motor it ran for about five minutes and then died. Battery had been sitting for about three weeks so i tried charging it. Charged over night and tried the next day to use it nothing happened. Tried every setting. What could be wrong? Is there fuse somewhere?

There is a fuse at you're trolling motor battery. It should be a red cable with a fuse holder and a spare fuse, it sits about six to eight inches from the positive terminal on you're deep cycle battery.
